Why We're Called Berkley Acupuncture
Berkley Acupuncture opened in downtown Berkley in 2015. The practice has since moved north to Bloomfield Hills, but the name stayed, it's how patients knew us, and it's where this started.
The office is now at 36700 Woodward Ave in Bloomfield Hills, about ten minutes straight up Woodward from Berkley. It's a shorter drive than it sounds, because it's one road the whole way.
A few patients who started with me back in Berkley still make the drive up, which I take as a fair endorsement of the ten minutes.
What We Treat
The practice sees patients for chronic pain, sports injuries, migraines and tension headaches, TMJ and jaw pain, vertigo, digestive issues, women's health concerns, and stress and anxiety.
Most people who find their way here have already tried other things such as physical therapy, chiropractic, injections, sometimes surgery and are looking for something that works differently rather than something that works the same way again.
What Makes This Different From Other Acupuncture Clinics
Most acupuncture practices offer acupuncture. This one combines three approaches: acupuncture, Fascial Counterstrain, and myofascial therapy.
Fascial Counterstrain is the piece that's genuinely uncommon. It's a gentle, hands-on technique developed by Brian Tuckey that works with the body's tension patterns rather than against them, and it addresses systems most manual therapy doesn't reach: arterial, lymphatic, visceral, and neural. There are very few practitioners trained in it anywhere in Michigan.

Head north on Woodward. The building is one north of the Mercedes-Benz dealership, a well-known landmark on that stretch. Parking is free, with a surface lot in front and additional parking plus handicap spaces in back.
Suite 30 is on the lower level. There's an elevator and stairs at both the front and back entrances. Coming in the front puts you closest to the office.
